Where to start? Well first off I haven't ever dieted before so I have NO idea what I'm doing. My weight hasn't really ever been an issue for me until after my daughter was born in April 2004 & I had put on about 30 pregnancy pounds. Four months after the birth of my daughter & before I had any chance to lose any of those extra pounds I discovered that I was pregnant with my son who was born in April of 2005. That was another 15 pounds added on to an already over weight me. Being over weight at that point wasn't a big issue for my because I had just given birth twice in the last 11 months.I'm 5' 10" & at that time I was tipping the scales at approximately lbs. So this summer I decided to quit smoking cold turkey but now have gain about 30 pound over that last 6 months. I have a wedding to me in come June 2nd. I really would LOVE to lose as much as I possibly can so I have come in search of support help advice & anything else anyone has to offer.

Welcome to the forums.

you may want to make a good start at looking what you are eating. Try signing up at fitday.com or sparkpeople.org and log all your food for a few days. Generally leaving out the fattier stuff will help you loose weight, but so long as the calories in are less than the calories out you will loose weight.

Get some exercise in will help the self esteem and get you active in general.

Hi Stacy,
Welcome to the WLF!

Wow, your life must be so busy! Two little ones so close in age! They must keep you on the run :) How fun!

You can definitely shed these extra pounds - just take it one meal at a time, one pound at a time.

I agree with wishes, check out (not .org) or they are both great sites for tracking your calories. It makes for a good way to learn while you're losing weight how many calories you need, and what those calories look like in the way of proportions - which will make maintaining our weightloss that much easier when we get there!

Best of luck to you!
