HI! I'm new...

HI! I'm new here, and I am looking to loose some weight. Honestly, I would like to loose 40lbs by July, but I'm not sure how that's going to work out. I am going to Puerto Rico for a friends wedding and I'd like to be able to look decent in a swimsuit again.

I have started eating better, cutting out fast food and such, but I haven't really lost any weight there. I don't like going to the gym, mostly because I don't like working out in front of people, I get very self-conscious.

I have ordered the jumpsnap program on-line...a ropeless jumprope. I figure that will be a good way of getting some cardio without having to leave my apartment.

Any support, tips, ideas, etc would be most welcome!

Welcome! Hang in there, you can do it! I have lost about 20 pounds and I have about 20 to go. Just take small steps and make small life changes. I made a weight management bracelet for myself to track points (I am on Weight Watchers). I sell them if you are interested :) Anyway, it is about finding what works for you.

i just joined as well... here are my stats:

height: 5'3"
one week ago: 205.0
current weight: 200.0
goal weight: 145.0 ... or i would like to be a toned size 9 {curvy and gorgeous)

what i use is walk away the pounds by leslie sansone... soo far ive really liked it... 3 miles in 45 minutes... major cardio workout... she has you doing kicks side steps...
 
Hobbies Help!

Hi,

I recently started making jewelry (including weight tracker bracelets) and it has been the best thing! It really keeps me from snacking, especially at night which is my worst.

I just can't figure out how to get the gym into my routine. Any advice is appreciated!
