Im 21 years old..married...i have a 2 year old daughter....before i had a baby i was 120 then i got pregnant at 18 and from there my weight went up ofcourse.after i had my daughter i was 127 but i still looked fat(baby fat) baby tummy was there and flabby in a way...i still felt fat....ever since then sep 2005 my weight just kept going up and its my fault because i kept on eating junk food....chocolate and chessecake....i always ate junk food but walking to school everyday and walkng anywhere that was my exercise so i didnt gain weight from the junk. but now that im a stay at home mom im home all day i get bored and eat eat eat....and i go for the junk food. and now i weigh 147 i really miss being 120....i hate it that i let myself get this way i dont want to gain anymore weight cause then i know its going to be harder to take off. im 21 im still young and i want to look young. ive been on like 3 diets before..just eating healty i didnt exercise.....the last diet i was on was for 3 weeks or so and i had lost 7 pounds eating healty and doing 50 mintues of pilates everyday....then i had a ice cream smoothie and after that i couldnt stop i gained all that weight back...so im back at square one...thats my big problem if i taste just a bit of something yummy i lose it...and i really want to get serious now i dont have self control. i really want to make this work. i see all of the before and after pictures and you guys amaze me you lose like 100 or more pounds i only have to lose 27 lbs and i cant even do that. I really dont know what to do about motivation.

i hate taking ful pictures cause i hate the way i look...so i always take close ups :(
 
i forgot to add that...i calculated how many cals i should have and it said 1200-1300
and when i bought my weight scale it came with a chat to see if your over weight by ur age and height.....im 5,1 21 yrs and 147 is overweight for my age and height....not too much just a little bit...
 
How did you calculate your calories?

thanks..im glad i joined...:)

ummm i found a website that has a calorie calculator and some diet sites have them to it asks for height and weight and sometimes age and then it will say how many cals you should have a day.
 
Welcome to the WLF. Make sure to read all the stickied threads and start up a food journal. As for keeping track of calories and whatnot, take a look at either or

Welcome to the forum!

I know what you mean about not being able to stop once getting a taste of something - I had promised myself that I'd be true to my WOL by having half a plate at my local Korean BBQ (first time I've had that in 4 months). I ended up happily giving the entire meal a home in my tummy, and bounced up from my 135 that I had just reached that very morning.

Only today, 2 weeks later, am I down to 134. Sigh.

Since I know that's a definite weakness of mine, I've opted simply NOT to put myself in temptation's plath. Sometimes that's easier said than done.

thanks :)....yes i am going to keep track of what im eating and no junk food ..not even a crumb of it..lol...

If you are going to be exercising, which you should be, your cals are a bit low.
 
ya im going to do pilates everyday for 50 mintues then ill prolly do a small workout like situps or walking.....

so how many cals should i take then??
 
ok sounds good....thanks :) oh and i saw ur photo album were you ever fat?.....cause all i see is muscle..and it doesnt look like you were ever overweight.
and since this is a weight loss site im guessing u were fat? but now ur not.

Nope, never was fat. Used to be a scrawny turd.
