Hi! I'm New!

Hi everyone, this looked like a great place to start my weight loss. I am about 265 and right now my short term goal is to just to get under 200 pounds. I would be happy for 160 eventually...I am tall (5'8) and that looks good on me. I was never an overweight child, or had a problem with my weight until I have my first child. Now I have three kids, I don't plan on having any more and I am ready to lose some weight! I hope. I have started and failed quite a few times, but I need too. I don't want to spend the rest of my life feeling disgusting, being out of shape and eventually dying young. Alright! So wish me luck!
 
Hi Maddisun! Welcome here! Failing does not have to be an option. :) You do need to put yourself first in this though. I know children come first, but to be the best mom you can be to them, you need to do this for yourself. Check out the diary section; there's some great stories in there that might offer you some ideas. And feel free to start your own!

Welcome to the WLF and good for you for getting control of your health, weight and fitness!

You and I have similar stats, I'm a little over 5'8" and started close to 260 pounds.

Just know, you CAN lose this weight, it may seem overwhelming, but you just take it one day, one meal and one pound at a time!

Congratulations to you for taking these first steps!
