Hello everybody. It feels good to be among friends who can understand what I'm going through. I've always had to struggle with my weight but in the past couple of years it's gotten really bad - I've gained 40 lb. and I wasn't skinny to begin with.
I think my problem is three major things:
1. Portion control - eating way too much, until I'm "overfull".
2. Some poor choices - I do eat vegetables and fruit but I eat way too much carbs, especially breads, pasta, muffins etc.
3. Lack of consistency at the gym - I start with a lot of energy but then I give up and stop.
I recently read the book in my avatar, Volumetrics, and it was really helpful in making me understand "fullness" better. But I think I need to figure out an actual program with a support system that will keep me on track.
Anyway, it's great to be at these forums!
