Hey everyone,

I'm 20 and a college student. I've set a goal of losing about 20 lbs this summer, which is what I gained this year, which is awful! As soon as I got a job where I sit all day, I've just been gaining and though I don't eat unhealthy or very much I can't seem to lose weight, which is why I thought a supportive community might be helpful! Now that it's summer, this extra weight is really getting to me and if I don't start losing it soon, I don't know what I'm going to do!

So I hope to see all of you around and I'm hopeful that I can get some help to achieve my goal!
 
Hi Kelsey!

"Sit all day" jobs suck! I have one too, but dont worry, set your mind into your goal and you wont even notice when you lose the weight.

I recomend excersice since you say you dont eat unhealthy, maybe that's the only thing missing :)
 
Hello - welcome to the forum

I see you have mentioned that you eat healthily and not very much - Have you checked your portion sizes? I thought I was eating the correct portions until I started weighing stuff out - I had overestimated what a portion size was between 25-50%. Also it could be that you are eating too little, your body will refuse to lose weight 'famine mode' as you may not be getting what it needs.

A good start would be to record a food diary with portion sizes for a while so we can see what you are eating.
