Hi, I need some help.

Hi, I'm 18 years old and I weigh 170lbs on a good day. I don't look big, but I've got a big chest and a big bottom & thighs. I would like to find a way to loose that excess weight because I'm severely unhealthy due to the weight. I want to try and do it without machines though, as I'll feel more accomplished to do it without them. Also this way I can help my friends and family who need the help too, since machines don't work the same for everybody, sometimes not working at all. I appreciate any and all help, advise, and criticism, as it all helps.

What machines are you talking about?

I'd spend a lot of time reading the stickied threads thru out the forum, especially in On Topic, Nutrition and Exercise.. you'll get a lot of helpful information...

Like I don't want to go the gym or have to order something like a treadmill. I don't want something the does the movements for me. Weight lifting is fine, but like a Boflex or that ab thing that 'lifts you off the ground' whatever its called. I'd like to do exercises and stuff like yoga or even types of dances that help weight loss.

any movement is good -

strength training is an excellent form of exercise combined with cardio -

cardio can be anything from dancing, to running, to walking, to swimming, to hula hooping, biking, anything that gets your heart rate up...

Again, read the stickied threads in exercise - and you'll find lots of ideas for what you can do at home..

Hey, welcome to the forum! You might want to take a look into The FIRM, I really enjoy the cardio/body toning videos they have! :) Best of luck!
