Hi I am new :)

hi, i'm new to the forum. I am a 15 year old boy form the north west of England.I have recently joined the gym and want to get fit. I play for a local Field Hockey team. I want to build my overall stamina/fitness but i would also like to gain more muscle :) Is it best to starting doing weights at my age or should i stick to the fitness bit? :)
 
Hey and welcome! I would suggest reading the Young Athlete Development section of the forum for some advice on how to train. It should be OK if you're focusing on proper form, starting with VERY light weights, and progressing extremely slowly. Do you have anyone that can supervise you or watch your technique?
