hi, i am new here. : D i finally decided to join an online forum because i have been trying to try to lose weight for the past few years. which means i have been attempting to lose weight, but i have a really short attention span and i give up after about like 5 days. so this is the reason why i haven been able to lose weight. but now i am determined because i am kind of sick of being fat. i hate looking into the mirror and trying to see myself from different angles so that i can look thin. everytime i walk past a glass window or something i will automatically turn my head and look at the reflection of my legs and try to psycho myself that they look kind of thin. and i dont want to suck in my tummy anymore, i want the real flat tummy and stuff.

currently my plan is to exercise more and try to eat my food in moderation. i really love meat so its kind of hard for me. i am asian, so i usually eat rice with every meal. what my plan is, is to eat 3 proper meals everyday. i usually have 2 pieces of white bread in the morning, with nutella spread. for lunch and dinner, i usually have rice, and now i am trying to cut down on my meat intake so for lunch i will have an egg and 2 servings of vegetables. my mum usually cooks a lot of meat and fried food for dinner so its kind of hard to resist the temptation. but what i hope is that i will have the willpower to eat 1 serving of meat, 2 servings of vegetables with rice for dinner. i am trying to get 2 servings of fruit a day, usually a banana in the afternoon when i am hungry and a slice of whatever fruit my mum decides to serve after dinner. i am trying to drink 2 litres of water a day too : D

i went online and searched for exercises to sculpt my problem areas, mainly because i think if i stick to a general weight loss plan i will lose motivation super easily. what i've got is "3weeks to a flat belly" which is pilates exercises i think, "toned arms in 10days", back exercises and leg exercises. i am trying to put in a jog everyday or a walk but its kind of hard because sometimes my schedule is packed and it isnt convenient for me to go to a gym or run in a park or something. plus sometimes i feel very weak in the afternoon even though i have eaten lunch.

my aim is to lose 10kg, by end of june. i know its kind of far-fetched considering i have only a little more than a month, but i will try my best. how much do you think i can lose if i stick to this schedule?

It's hard to guess how much weight a person will lose since everyone's metabolism is different. Try hard to stick to your plan for a few weeks to gauge your weight loss and that should give you an idea of your future loss if all goes to plan.

Hi! Your plan sounds pretty good. I would say as far as exercise, it's good to get strength training into your routine but don't forget about cardio. As long as you're doing something. Something is always better than nothing. As far as you're eating habits, try switching to whole wheat bread, also I wouldn't worry too much about eating meat, protein is essential to your body and it will help with building muscle and it will also help you feel satisfied for a longer period of time than carbs. Rice is good to eat but brown rice is a better choice. I think if you could reduce your intake of fried foods that would make a big difference. It sounds like you eat lots of veggies which is awesome!! Keep it up! It sounds like you're on your way!
 
thanks everyone! i am really encouraged to continue losing weight now!
for the last 4 days i have stuck to my diet plan and i think its going on quite well. i dont have cravings for junk food or chocolates or sweets any longer. in fact when one of my friends offered me a bit of a huge bar of chocolate i only felt a teensy weensy bit of temptation, but it was really easy to say no to that bit of chocolate.
recently i went online to check on the "3 weeks to a flat belly" exercises because i wanted to find out how many times should i do it once a week. &i realised that i had been doing all the exercises wrongly! but actually it was just as well because i found another exercise for tummies that promises results in 4 weeks -&you know what? i found out that this exercises really works my abs a lot! i can feel my abs straining and strengthening!

besides these, i have been walking for an hour daily. actually i wanted to try jogging, but when i tried it out last week i couldnt endure any more just after a short distance. i think my stamina ia pretty poor. after that i was kind of demoralised, so i have decided i shouldnt try jogging anymore until i am pretty sure that i can take it. besides, i read somewhere that walking burns fats more quickly than jogging, because jogging burns carbos first before fats. so i have been walking for an hour everyday, then after that hour of walk i will climb up the stairs to my house (i live in an apartment that's on the 12th storey). i know its pretty taxing to climb up 12 storeys at one go, but i have done it before &everytime i manage to climb up the stairs i will feel smug and accomplished &this gives me the motivation to continue.

its too early to tell whether my plan will work or not, but i am sure it will! i dont have a weighing machine so i wont know if my weight has decreased, but i will keep track using my waistline. so thats all! thanks, and everyone else out that, I AM SUPER SURE THAT YOU ALL CAN DO IT! all of us are conquerors!
