Hi guys and gals

I hope this message finds you well.

My name is Janice and I thought I'd introduce myself.
Like you I have a problem with weight loss and am over the moon to find this forum with like-minded people.

I need to lose some weight so that I can become more active to keep up with my 7 year old son! I've already learned something about weight-loss and dieting but am looking for more, perhaps better ideas. That's my main reason for joining the weight-loss-forum. Maybe I could help others, too.

I'm sure you'll be hearing a lot from me over the next few weeks.

Janice.

P.S. It's cool and cloudy here. I hope it's brighter and warmer where you are.

Welcome aboard,

In the past I have tried a variety of ways to lose weight myself.

I have succeeded only to gain most of it back on and more. What changed things for me was sticking with a plan of action but not trying to lose my weight fast.

Slowly taking the weight off, seems to be the answer for me and as I gain more confidence through the results I am getting this encourages me to carry on and upwards.

Hi Aaron,

I agree. The way to lose weight has top be to do it slowly. Anaerobically. Not by pumping and huffing. I hate that kind of thing anyway.

I've heard lots of tales about people going to the gym for weeks on end without losing much weight. They tried to do things too fast I suppose. I bet they got fitter though!

Regards,

Janice

Gym

I bet they got fitter though!

Hi Janice,

I started going to the gym just a little while ago. "Jumping up and down screaming is not for me I leave that to the fitness fanatics" - I do about:

1. 20 minutes on a treadmill

2. 20 minutes on light weights circuit.
