Hi - im quite new to these forums so feel an introduction is necessary. My name is Mike.

Last year I lost around 100lbs through sensible diet and a realistic amount of exercise, mostly through a plan I decided upon myself [counting calories, regular but easy going and non-embarrassing exercise such as walking].

I know how good the feeling is to have lost so much weight, and hope to help others. Feel free to message me anytime and checkout my website. Most of all, good luck to everyone!

Thanks, Mike.

Welcome to the boards Mike.

I lost 50 pounds last year through much the same route - it goes to show that you don't have to commit to a 'gym' lifestyle to lose weight and get fit - there are lots of different routes to better health.

Look forward to hearing more from you

Paul - thats good work, and yep ur right there's no need to spend money joining any clubs or gyms [unless it really helps the person] - being fit is for anyone.

Bella - thanks for your kind words :) my life's so much better now for it. Good luck with your own weight loss.

Mike.

thanks everyone - yes I am so much happier now thanks to taking things slow and sensibly.

Now it's just a matter of sticking to what i've done so far so as not to put the weight back on, but so far this has not been a problem.

Mike.
