Hi I am 39 years old (soon to turn 40) and 225 Lbs.

I am one week into my new health and fitness regime and have lost 6 Lbs.

I am just over 6 feet tall and want to get down to an ideal weight of 176 Lbs.

I am happy with my progress and looking to forums like this to diary my progress as well as pick up and share tips.

Hey Josh! welcome. Great on the 6 pound loss, yes, it's always good to lose fat, there are so many good things that come from becoming lighter, it's a wonder why we get overweight in the first place!

Keep positive about losing fat Josh and remember your getting healthier with each pound of that dangerous fat you lose. There are always ups and downs in the journey, don't let that discourage you one bit. Greet each new day with the mind to strongly go forward with the fat loss routine and a new you.

Thanks for those encouraging words. The good thing is I'm not doing this alone and there are a bunch of us who want to get in shape for various things including a big family wedding next year. I'm losing about a pound a day at the moment but I know that will start to plateau out and I am eating very sensibly.
