Hi there

Just joined and glad to see that I am not the only one in the fight to gain a healthier lifestyle. Have tried many "diets" before and failed but this time I admit that I feel very optimistic and have the support of family.

Hope you all have similar support out there.

Glad you joined and am glad you are taking a fighting stance for your health. Best wishes to you and your journey. Starting a journal is a good way to stay accountable and keep track of your success(and sometimes set backs) along the way. What is your plan and motivation?
 
Hey Wahula :O) I saw a few of your posts and the one in Omega's journal and wanted to say hello. I have pcos too as well as insulin resistance. My husband and I want children so I agree with you...I'm not going to let it beat me. I have found this forum to be an awesome place for support and info and I think you will too. My Motivation

Hey there

My motivation for making this change is my beautiful daughter. I have to do this for myself and be an example for her. I am the only person that can make a change in my life.

I am dong weightwatcher and working out at Curves so I'm feeling good about that. I like the idea of starting a journal and think that it would be beneficial.

I am trying to get in the habit of preparing meals on a Sunday afternoon and then freezing for the week. I tried it last week and it went well, Having a hectic job does not leave much time for cooking in the evening so preparing ahead was helpful.

I just need to get in the habit of thinking about lunches and I will be happy.

Anyway thanks for the replies. It was nice to see that someone had responded and I look forward to getting to know people,

Freezer cooking :) I used to do that on a pretty big scale but got away from it. I have ALOT of recipes though and figured out you can freeze just about anything, lol. Anyway with everything being so crazy, as soon as I get one afternoon I need to do that too.
