Hi!
Welcome to Weight-Loss Forum! This is a great site with loads of good information by some really good professionals and thousands of true stories from real people. I'm sure you'll find many helpful things here to make your weight-loss journey easier.
You asked for opinions in your post and here's mine:
39 pounds in three months might be doable in some circumstances, but since you're not extremely overweight, I think it's neither realistic nor healthy goal for you. The healthy amount of weigh-loss in a week would be somewhere around 0.5-2 pounds, again depending on your starting weight. The closer you are for your goal, the slower you lose. The slower you lose the better your body&skin keep up with the loss.
You said you want to lose weight for going to France. Sounds like a good motivation for weight-loss, but is it your final goal or do you have more long-term goals also?
If I were you, I'd ask myself these questions..
1. What's my goal for weight-loss? Better
a) health
b) appearance
c) happiness
d) something else, what?
2. Do I want to lose
a) fat, keep muscle
b) fat and muscle
c) muscle, gain fat
d) something else, what?
3. Do I want to stay in my goal weight
a) for life
b) for a year (struggle for it again every year)
c) for 3 days (start gaining weight immediately)
d) something else, what?
4. Do I believe my body functions
a) the same way human bodies usually do
b) somwhat differently from anybody else's
c) defying the laws of thermodynamics
d) something else, what?
After having thought about those things, I'd suggest some informational reading, for example:

PS. I hope you answered a) to every question.
