HI EVERYONE!


I'm 25 years old and currently live in NY. For much of my teenage years and early 20s, I fought obesity. I started gaining weight at age 12 and by the time I got into college, I weighed 140 lbs. (BTW I'm 5'1") I hated being judged, ridiculed, and treated less than what I deserved because of my looks. And honestly I wasn't happy with myself.


So one day I joined the local gym. I worked out 2 hours (mostly cardio, stretching, not much weightlifting) every day for 6 months and lost almost 35 lbs. I kept it off for the next 6 months until I had to move to NC and gained 10 lbs right away... stress, binge, etc.


Recently I moved to NY and gained a couple of more lbs. I can't even tell you the last time I actually went to the gym. I need to lose some extra lbs and tone my body up. Yea.. I still have sagging skin on my arms, thighs, and tummy... Please help me motivate myself to get back in shape and live the healthier life I've always dreamed of.

Welcome! I just started also, but this looks like a great site to keep you motivated! If you plan on exercising, try to do it every other day instead of every day. Give your body a little break :)
