Hey everyone!


I've been a lurking for awhile now and just decided to get a username and all that jazz. I'm 21 and female. I'm going to be calorie counting on my way to the new me. I did this previously and lost about 8lbs then for some reason stopped. I've maintained that weight loss and am continuing my journey now at 165lbs.


Why do I want to lose weight? Well, I'm currently studying criminal justice and will graduate in May. I then plan to start applying to police departments where I'll have to pass a fitness test. My main reason to lose weight is to help with my fitness and of course be more healthy. Oh, I also happen to be getting married in June, so looking awesome for that is motivator as well.


Like I said, I'm going to be calorie counting. I plan on staying between 1200-1500 cals a day, though I don't seem to be having any trouble staying at 1200. The higher end is for days where I splurge a bit. I've also been enrolled in a gym for about the last month. I'll be working out as much as possible. I have certain fitness goals I'm working towards and they are 25 pushups, 28 situps in a minute, a.5 mile run in 16 and xx mins (can't remember the seconds) and a jump of 16 inches. This is a big test for me, but can already see some improvement, so I'm feeling confident.


Basically, I'm here for motivation, support, advice, and of course to support others. My main thing is keeping myself motivated and not getting depressed. I have very little self confidence, so being in a supportive atmosphere is key for me.

Hey Munch, welcome to the forum! Have you started a weight loss journal yet? A lot of people on the forum find it a great way to keep themselves accountable and it also gives everyone a chance to offer up encouragement.
