Hello! My name is Jill, and I'm new hear. My goal is to lose 50 lbs. by the end of summer. I was at a really nice weight and was happy with myself a couple yrs. ago, but slowly and surely gained alot of weight after I lost my job and have been staying home with my boys. My biggest problem is eating in the evening and in the middle of the night. I get up in the middle of the night every night, sometimes twice, to eat any kind of sweets, it's such a bad craving, so I overdo it on cookies, cake, or icecream. Anyone else have problems at night like this? Today is the day that I'm making changes, I drank alot of water already this morning, planning on 8 glasses a day. I'm heading out for a 30 min. walk after this post, and my 14 yr. old son said he'll do some lifting with me later on. I know on 'Biggest Loser' they do alot of lifting along with their cardio. I hope to hear from you. Thanks!

You might be able to curb some of those cravings by eating more effectively before going to bed.

Do you eat regularly throughout the day?

Lastly, keeping the crap out of the house that triggers binges might be a wise move.

Welcome aboard, I agree with Steve. I have problems with binging at night, when I dont eat enough during the day.. I am making sure I get three meals a day and have suger free jello for snacking ...

and I have yogurts too
but I need to buy fruit again, that time of year when fruit isnt as expensive lol
but I would definitely look over how you eat during the day ..my biggest meal is at night ..before bed .. it does help .. I just lost my pound I gained over Easter, which is awesome ...

so just create a diary ..check out others diaries ... and just read the sticky threads ..

best wishes
