Hi im Tony and really want to lose weight but i keep falling foul to the beer and this is my downfall as the day after i eat like a horse. I really would sooner not drink and lose weight but the temptation is so easy as i got to lots of meetings in the pub. Any help and support would be appreciated.

Hi Tony,

Hope your doing well!

I think if you truly want to lose weight nothing should be powerful enough to get in the way.

If beer is your weakness try having meetings and meet ups somewhere rather then bars and pubs.

Remember *NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS SKINNY FEELS*

another thing, once you start working hard and seeing results that will get addicting to where you will want to keep going with your work outs and your diet.

I also suggest that you do not do one of those stupid diets that will make you lose weight but have you gain it all back as soon as you get off it.

Stick to no carbs after 6pm and small portions thru out the day. That will have you losing weight quick while eating the things you like. *SMALL PORTIONS IS KEY* every 2 hours.

I am telling you, your goal is achievable and putting the bad habits behind is easily possible!

After you get to your goal you can have beers on the weekends in moderation.

As a woman i am telling you the one most unattractive thing is a male that drinks a lot

Gia,

Hi tony, Beer is a tricky devil XD been there, I remember actually trying wine instead of beer. let me tell you that has the same effect exactly

Like Gia said *nothing tastes as good as skinny feels* and she's a girl she must understand this!

There are really hundreds of planes you can find online, trainers like Mark Sisson will share their knowleadge about losing weight and I recommend to check that out

Also I found this site that talks about losing weight motivation you might find useful HERE

I wish you all the luck and willpower Tony!

Emma.

Hi Tony, if you are struggling with the beer thing at your meetings and there is no other alternative venue, have you tried either the ultra low, or non alcohoic beers. Even something like a soda water with lime and bitters as an alternative might be worth a try. Ring ahead and ask the barman for suggestions so it's not a big deal when you get there and order with the others for the meeting. Max.

Maybe even try Gin with a low calorie tonic i mean gordons gin for a single measure is 52 calls and low calorie tonic is 2 calories compared to carling which is 187 calories

Tony,

We all understand where your coming from. Everyone has there downfall, mine is chocolate...

Its all about midset tho...you have to really want to lose the weight. Find something that motivates you (kids are a good one if you have them) and im here for support!

Hey! I'm new to the site, but I thought my story could be of some inspiration to you. Hang in there!!!!

Hi Tony, when i first started my weight loss journey I switched from sugary wines and coolers to rum and diet, it slows down your matabolism (alcohol that is) BUT a hard liquer and diet dosent add the extra calories. PLUS drinking makes you hungry for junk foods. >.<

Heya Tim,

I have the same problem with drinking, my boyfriend works as a pub manager so its so so easy to have a few drinks. My problem is I then eat more as well as having the drinks...

Just try and alternate with water or drink lower calorie options say a spirit and low-sugar mixer.

Or drive. That way you're not tempted at all.
