hi everyone! I've been prescribed adderall for adhd and as a side effect I'm losing weight rapidly. At first it was exciting and felt too good to be true but now I have lost 10 pounds in two weeks and I'm getting concerned. I am 5 pounds away from my goal but I ultimately wanted to look toned and fit, not weak and malnourished. :( If I want to gain muscle and definition, will I need to drastically increase my calorie intake? Or is working out enough?? Any advice would be so helpful! Thanks:)

Pretty sure you should ask those questions the one who prescribed you the thing. To increase muscle gain and definition you need to exercise and increase your calorie intake. Gaining muscle and tone doesn't not happen by taking ADHD medicine.

Yeah I understand that it will be difficult, but I need to take it..there's no getting around that part since it has helped my adhd symptoms immensely. And unfortunately my psychiatrist did not have any useful advice about it so I was hoping someone on here would have a similar story/experience.

If you want to gain muscle and definition you need to increase your intake of protein and just put in time at the gym (or at home). Lifting weights will help tone your muscles and give you definition, but you won't be able to build muscle unless you eat more protein. Or, if lifting weights isn't your thing, try yoga or Pilates. Both of those options help tone your muscles (especially your core) and build strength.
