Hi All - From NC

Good evening! I just joined, thought I'd say hello! I'm a 32 year old female from NC. I began working out again about a year and half ago. I played sports all of my life (soccer, basketball, hockey, and baseball... I was well rounded!) but have still been nothing short of fat my entire life. As I tell people, I was actually born 2 months premature but was still 8 lbs. 13 oz.

Anyway, in December of 2010 I began my fitness and diet routine, and since then I have dropped 96 lbs. I still have a ways to go to reach my goal weight, I figure about 50 to 60 more pounds, but have hit a major wall. Haven't dropped an ounce in three months. I'm in the process of shaking up my fitness routine again. I finally got my bike operational again, and truth be told, I've been on a bike most of my life so it is a wonderful thing to have my bike back (as mom tells people, growing up, I clean wore out three bikes). I do most of my fitness training in the water due to impact needs, and those workouts include aqua jogging, some swimming (I am a horrible swimmer, I actually don't move very far regardless of how hard I try), some aqua aerobics. I also jog once or twice a week. Biking I do between once and four times a week depending on the weather (on the higher end right now as the temps are great... in a few weeks it'll get so humid I will probably reduce outdoor workouts a lot... it's like breathing through a wet sock).

I recently quit smoking (2 months ago) by switching to "vaping" (electronic cigarettes that use flavored water vapor) which has, actually, made breathing somewhat easier, but not like I was expecting. Giving it time, though, I smoked for 20 years. Currently trying to refigure my diet to help me out with food cravings, trying to revamp my fitness routine, and trying to make due with loose skin. LOL!

Nice meeting you all!

Hey and welcome!

Wow, I have to say a big congrats for 2 major reasons... the amount of weight you've lost so far, and for quitting smoking! Yay! Even if you stayed at your current weight, you've done so many good things for your health!

A couple of things I would suggest... read this article: Nutrition 101 – www.body-improvements.com and start a journal in the training journal section here: Journal. You might also be interested in checking out one of our sister forums, the Weight Loss Forum - you'll probably find some good information (and people) there, too.

Good luck!
