hi again

well i guess i registered here a while back and forgot all about it. anyway, im trying to get in shape again.

Im 18, 6'2" ~200 lbs and joining the air force. im way out of shape. ive built some muscle but its way disproportionate (my arms are blowing up and everythin else is slowly swelling) and its pissing me off. no matter how hard i try to work my legs/abs/chest i barely see results, but the second i do a curl i start ripping sleeves :mad: what can i do to get more even workouts? my arms are about 4" bigger than they were two months ago (working out twice a week) and the rest of me is still about the same. ive put on about 5 lbs, but im still kinda chunky. i weighed myself on a bodyfat scale and it said i was 22% bodyfat :(.

about 5 minutes ago i decided i was going to wein myself off of the gallon+ of soda i drink any given weekday, and cut the starbucks i have at least once a day to monday, wensday and friday getting a nonfat grande instead of a regular venti. other than my poor drinking habits (not much alcohol at all really, mabye a weekend a month) i dont think im that bad, i eat breakfast every morning, usually oatmeal. have a sandwhich or subway or burger from the school cafe, and eat whatever my mom makes for dinner (sometimes nothing so i just eat whatever)

what easy to make foods can i eat to get more in shape? ive heard tuna sandwhiches are good (with out the two pounds of mayo most people tend to drench them in) and that would be pretty easy to take to school. is the whole subway get fit thing actually true or is it just as bad as a burger (i get a foot long turkey breast and ham toasted onwheat with provalone, lettuce, tomatoes, and black olives)

also, how can i boost my endurance, i get short of breath after half a mile and just want to quit. i used to have asthma but its not a big deal anymore, i just get exhausted. climbing a long flight of stairs gets me a little short of breath. its just rediculous. what can i do to fix it?

I ship off to air force basic training in september, so im just trying to prepare myself for that.

What does your workout routine look like? If you're doing arm curls, then you're doing it wrong.

Cutting the soda will help cut alot of calories and useless sugars. Whatever happened to the days when coffee was called coffee or coffee with whip cream?

As far as the endurance, just keep trying. Eating more food, better food will also help.

i dont really have a routine, i just kinda go do whatever. i usually do things that i see other people doing that look pretty strong too, picked up a couple exercises this way (have no idea what theyre called or anything).

that diet thing... wow. i eat at about 6 in the morning, then again anywhere from noon to two, and again at about 8 at night. i dont know what im gonna eat all those times in between.
