Hi! 22 yr old girl trying to lose about 80ish lbs

Hello everybody.

I'm 22 yrs old and I've been overweight since as long as I can remember. Right now I'm about 235lbs and although I don't really have a goal weight, I'd like to get down to maybe a size 10 or so. Mostly I just want a body that is nicely proportioned, shapely, and healthy. I just started weight watchers last week and hopefully I will be successful. I've done weight watchers before, as well as atkins, calorie counting, nutrisystem, south beach, etc.. and i've never been able to stick to it, so I'm hoping that at 22 years old I've finally developed the responsibility and coping skills to really stick to it this time.

If any of you guys are in a similar situation or if you are in a different situation but just want to talk about weight loss stuff, then that would be awesome. I wish everyone good luck on their weight loss endeavor:seeya:!
 
Hello, how r u? I currently weigh 220lbs. I've done weight watchers before and lost 2stone but that was the old point plan and I've heard the new point plan is better.
Are u planning on doing any exercise while ur dieting?
If u stick with weight watchers you'll do great.

I usually go walking for about 30min-1hour 4 or 5 times a week. I did the old weight watchers system before and I lost about 20lbs but then it just stopped working. The new points plus plan takes carbs into more of an account so i think it might work better.

Hey! I'm 23 and on WW too. Totally understand what you mean about wanting to look well proportioned and healthy - I couldn't agree more. I think this forum will probably help me a ton with motivation. Plus I'm considering joining a team; competitions always get the best performance out of me. I'm already stoked to know that there are other people on here who are also point counters ;)
