hiya everyone im jane im 22 and 213lbs and im here to hopefully get help on losing weight and go about starting it slowly i think it would be nice to get information aswell asa support from others that are trying to lose weight.

my main problem has to be my motivation to exercise at times ive been in the mood to but thats rare. i need to get my self into a routine which is hard without knowing what exercises to do.
i work and so wouldn't find it easy to do much afterwards as my feet normally hurts straight after as i stand on the spot 8hrs - 9hrs straight. i walk 20mins to work n 20mins home

hopefully things will be great :)

Hey Jane, welcome.

You are saying your lack of motivation to exercise is rare. I presume one of the excuses is having to work 8 hours a day standing still correct? (me too) I am a cook and I am running around all day at work 5 nights a week. Do I want to work out when I come home? Not really. Do I want to be fat all my life? Not a chance.

For me it comes down to what do I want in life. I have been overweight for at least 8 years now and I've never felt so bad about myself before in my life. You just need to push through those hard days. Don't beat yourself up if you miss a day. Remember that tomorrow is a new day and make an effort to do better.

I have only been eating real healthy this past 4 weeks but that alone has helped me lose almost 5 pounds. I started my cardio yesterday, 2 x 45 min on treadmill walking fast with an incline. It's not much its a start. You say you walk to and from work. Why not after or before work make that 20 minute walk into a 30 minute walk? Make a detour that lets you get some more time in.

It may not be an issue for you, but the biggest thing that has held me back is being lazy and eating food playing video games. I admit I am still going to play video games, but I am eating healthy now and I am starting to exercise a lot on a day to day basis.

Just remember to forgive yourself if you have a bad day. There is nothing worse then trying to change, feeling like you are failing if you have a unhealthy snack. Just be conscious of what you are doing and try to keep making better choices in the future.
