Hey everyone.. so i havnt been on here since i started..let just say i havnt been doing very good..iv only lost 10 pounds since april 2009...not good at all..lol.. i have this big problem with bad food...uhm im going to be gettin a gym membership ..and then im going to get someone to grocery shop for me and not get anything bad... so hopefully i will get to my goal really soon!!! if anyone has any good advice to help me stop eating bad food..then let me know.. cause i can go like a week or more without eating bad food..but then i get around someone and they eat something.. and then im like WOW!!.. i really need to lose this weight!!

Hey hun,

My advice = calorie count. Don't split food into 'good' and 'bad' because any diet plan that relies on you being 'good' all the time will fail. Look at your calorific needs, calculate your deficit and create some meal plans which incorporate your need for not so good food sometimes.
 
Ok..i am sorta doing that i have an Ap on my itouch that says i get 1800 calories a day.. and yesterday i went over 678 calories ..lol... so i didnt do good at all yesterday.. but thanx:)

I have it too. But I think I mean instead of just logging your calories passively, try to plan ahead. So make things that fill you that fit in your calorie count and you can enjoy. Make a proactive food plan for the week that you can stick too.

Make lower fat versions of things you like, eat smaller sizes - eating over by 700 calories, if it happens regularly, means that your meal plans are not working.
 
Yes that app...lol .. yea im kinda thinkin of going to a nutritionist..or someone who i can sit down with and make a meal plan.. cause i need to go grocery shopping..and i dont want to buy the junk i always do!
 
Jharasen, Congrates on coming back. I'm pretty new here myself but it's good to see you wanting to be refocused. First off believe you can do it and never beat yourself up if you have an off day. While being in the Air Force for nearly 11 years and seeing multiple traininers, there has been one thing beat in my head time after time. You don't need all the protien shakes or weight loss pills. A few small things to live by and you will see results, Guaranteed!

1. Drink WATER! Lots of Water! The old myth of 8-8oz glasses is not enough when you are active. Drink 80-90oz a day atleast.

2. 4-5 "Small" meals a day. Eat something rather then nothing. This will help lower your over all calorie intake. Eat slowly until you are satisfied.

3. Very important: Never miss breakfast. This goes back again to the "eat something rather then nothing".

4. Get atleast 20 mins a day of an aggressive workout a day, 3-4 times a week.

I promise you that you follow these four things and you will see results. Now, the hardest thing is not being discouraged. It might take you 5-6 weeks to see major results.
