Hey Y'all,

I'm A 5'9 male, from Texas, that weighed 266 on Jan 1. I made a new years resolution to lose 130 lbs this year. I know its a bit optimistic but I get lazy if I reach my goals, if I can get anywhere near that I would be really happy.

I'm already down to 257.5 hoping to stay on track, with some support from here, and lose 20 this month and 10 each month after.

Welcome and what are you doing that that you have already droped 9 lbs. I am a newbie here to and need to lose some weight

Right now I just have been eating a low amount of calories per day. Lean meats like tuna and boneless skinless chicken breasts and low cal vegetables. Im down to 252 today.

Is there such a thing as a high cal vegetable?

true, but some are higher than others and lot of veggies can come with things that are so low in calories. I like to get those vegetable steamers but you have to pay attention because some have a large amount of calories

A deep fried vegetable or one cooked in loads of butter could be considered a high calorie vegetable aspect to a meal... :)

Hi! Welcome welcome to the forum. Good luck on your weightloss. My only advice to you is to make sure you are working out as well. Otherwise you gonna end up with loose skin! but keep in mind that muscle weighs more than fat so it may slow down your actual pound loss

Welcome to the challenge! Congrats on the weight loss you have already experienced. Your goal is definitely attainable, stay focused and enjoy the ride!
