Hey everybody first off i would like to say this is an amazing site:) ....thats why i decided to join. OK About Me...Im 28 years old, female......im 5'1 and my current weight is 177 i hoping to get down too 120 which i know will be hard but i think i can do it...when i started my new life on december 11th of 2006 i weighed in at 188pds and when i seen that.. i decided it was time to take action because being short and carring that much weight isn't fun..lol...but i started watching what i ate and i totally quit drinking soda...my main problems was mt.dew .......and of course sweets but i never really ate that many sweets unless i was sleep walking which i do alot...lol.....but anyways i also started exercising ...which i really didn't know how to do .....cause i had never really done any in the past so i thought ok, i will start by dancing to music ......well when i weighed myself again the following week and seen that i had progressed that much by quitting a few bad habitits and moving a little more.i thought okay i can do this i was truly amazed and proud of myself...oh yeah my weight was now at 181 to me that was really good progress......so i said from now on im not going to look at this as a diet but a new life....and not worry about what i really wanted my weight too be at which is (120pds) for those who want to know.....instead i was going to focus on weekly goals that way i knew i could do it and not get dissappointed and quit.....so now today is of course the first day of the new year 2007....and my weight is at 177pds...i also have adding in ..walking twice a day .....for a least 45 mins a day ......and dancing... weither i look crazy or not doing the dancing thing ...doesn't really matter ...cause i know when i get on those scales it is really going to pay off.......:) i have also started drinking water....im so proud of myself and i hope that i really can do this.......but if there is anyone out there that reads this and has anything they want to give me advice on or any kind of tips ...i would really and greatly appreciate them ..........so until i talk again ....i hope everybody succes...thanks for taking the time to read this .........Tonya ......the first pic is of me when i started and the second is of me now...when i find some more of full body pics i will post them ........
 
Welcome to the forum! I'm new also, and we have some things in common. I started out at 188 pounds also. (that is my highest weight) Now I'm currently at 180 pounds.
BTW-- you are very pretty, and you can tell a difference in your face too! Doesn't it feel great to get on the scale and see you've lost weight? I love that feeling! Anyways-- good luck with your journey, we'll be here for any help!:D
 
Ive been using the sugar replaced mountain dew they finally brought out, Its not quiet the same but its pretty good when you get the craving.
Also sugar free sweets are like only 6cal :D
