Hi there, my name is Jane and I joined this forum a couple of days ago because I need to lose about 25 lbs, give or take. I've been here only a couple of days, lurking about, but I have already gotten so much inspiration and desire and good vibes to work out and keep the weight off. It doesn't feel as impossible now. I've been watching what I eat and recording my weight since the 6th of January, 2009. I am 5'6" and I am weighing 166 lbs; my goal weight is 140 lbs. (or whatever ends up looking better). I have a long way to go but feel as though I have started off with the right foot.
It's been kind of hard curbing my impulses to want to stuff my mouth with whatever is nearby, but so far so good. I work out almost every day, either by brisk walking/jogging (my stamina sucks so I have to learn how to jog), doing winsor pilates, or both. I plan on starting to swim laps very soon as well. I already posted a diary entry with a more defined outline on my past and what I want from the future, but suffice to say I am very serious about losing weight, but I am also keeping it fun.
