halo everyone... i've been rather miserable the past few months cos i've put on a lot of weight.. i lost a lot of weight through deting and exercising two years ago and then suddenly i started to put on weight again.. i was sick and tired of dieting and couldn't keep up with my exercise routine.. so now here i am... my friends and family have been saying i've put on weight, that my face is so round.. sometimes their comments really hurt.. yet my mom doesn't stop me from eating junk food and stuff.. it's like she'll let me eat whatever i want, but will say that i've grown fatter and stuff.. really sucky! so yea, i desperately want to lose weight..

heya thanks for ur replies =) hmm basically im trying to cut down on junk food... have regular meals and stuff.. have more fruits instead of biscuits and chocs in between meals.. i don't really have a plan.. but i think what's the most difficult for me is actually sticking to a strict exercise program... i usually swim, cycle or go to the gym alone.. or play squash or frisbee with friends occasionally.. so it gets kinda boring for me to exercise alone and stuff.. my frens are all either working or on holiday, cos we're on a long break from sch now.. so it's difficult to find an exercise buddy.. guess im not very motivated.. so sometimes i have to force myself to go swim, run and stuff...

I face the sameeeeeeeeee problem as you are. Here my mom is complaining that I've put on weight and yet she is complaining that I should eat so I won't have gastric issue later. Mom being mom they are always concern bout us and wants the best for us. Any mom to agree that?

Most important is what we want and be determined with it. 6 months ago I started the gym thingy with a few of my colleague. Every week, I will rush them to the gym together with me. Till recently, I've stopped my gym routine because of my slipped disk. It sucks! Hopefully I can head back to gym really soon.

In terms of diet program, I'm trying combination of few things. A bit of atkin's except that I will not skip potato. Always have cravings for carbo after few days. Not sure whether it will work but will let you know!
