Hey

I'm a 20year old university student who up until now has never really had any problems with staying thin (staying healthy on the other hand...)

Now I'm passing the whole 'moody teenager' thing, I thought it was best to start learning to live a healthy life independently. Which brought me to this forum. :)

My goal is basically to loose weight, get active (as a law student I'm basically locked in my room reading every day) and to most importantly, understand (you know, what's healthy, what's not, what protein is for etc.) Only problem right now is that this forum is MASSIVE. Where should I start looking?

Someone push me in the right direction please :D

I look forward to getting to know you all. :)

Oh and please, call me Adam.

Hi and welcome to the forum!!!

Here at WLF the majority of us like to encourage a healthy eating lifestyle, not any kind of "diet" like herbalife (i saw you were posting on that thread). Eat less, move more. Don't make it more complicated that than. Start picking fruits and protiens over sugars and fats. Start exercising, even if its a few minutes a day, build your endurance and start working out more as you go along.

Theres a lot of informative "stickies" in the "on topic" section. Check it out :)

Thanks for the welcome.

And don't worry, I'm off the herbalife idea. I read a few things here and there - it doesn't sound particularly healthy. I'm too gullible lol. Who knew all these schemes aren't all that!

Hey Adam, welcome to the forum. Take a look around at all the info and ask lots of questions :)
