Hey! Please Help: Thinner waist!

Heyyy.. I've been really obsessed with my waist for the past few weeks and i did lose like 4 cm of it, which is really cool. ive been dieting a bit so i guess its coz of that. but im thin already so i want to stop losing weight in general.. what i really want is ONLY my waist te become thinner than it is. i measure 64cm on my waist now, and i want to go down to a 60. does any one have any suggestions on how i can do that? i know that sit ups dont really work, theyre more to just tone ur stomach area and i dont need that that much either. all i want is my waist to shrink a few more cm. so...im talking more about some sort of exercise or movement i could practice in order make my waist thinner, WITHOUT losing any more body mass and without shrinking in general. because i want my waist to be thinner in comparison to the rest of my body, like my hips and bust. so basically i need something which will ONLY make my waist become smaller/thinner but will not affect my hips' size in anyway. I know ive been awfully repetitive in this, but i really really wanted to make myself clear. i hope someone can help me soon, it would be really appreciated. thankssss!

Short of liposuction, it is impossible to do that :(

You must lose overall fat in your body to reduce the size of your waist...sorry.

Crap... :(

Hey...you serious?? but that sucks! i mean, over the past 2 weeks i lost 4cm of my waist like i said but i dont think my hips got THAT MUCH smaller..i mean i didnt measure, i should but it doesnt look that way. i heard hula hoops work well to make your waist thinner..is that true? thanks a lot anyway. hope u reply to this one too.

Some parts of your body may/will lose more and at a faster rate than others but to lose a significant amount in a target area (your waist) you must lose overall fat. I know it sucks but that's just how it works.

Best way (like some of the experts around here will tell you) is to eat 5/6 small meals per day, one carb, one protein in each. Drink tons of water and get yourself in a regular work out schedule with both cardio and weight lifting.

Thanks :D You know what that means? I'm spending waaay too much time in here LOL

(btw I hope that's not her on her avatar...that chick is skinny enough:cool: )

arrgghh

NO dude..thats not me on my avatar. its this model...shes got the IDEAL waist/hip curve...i want that body!! im like obsessed..argh..
oh and i have another question...if someones shoulders are kind of broad...is there a way to make it less broad? or maybe there's something i can do to make my hips wider so they line up with my shoulders and so my shoulders wont look that broad. pleaseee help if u know. thanx.

Can I give you some advise? And please don't take this personally, because it's just my opinion...

Don't compare yourself to models or anyone in magazines or movies. Instead try to be the best you ...the girl in your avatar could be built differently through the luck of genetics.

Put it this way, I'm very short :)() about 5'1" (I wear stilletos religiously). I know I will never look like Giselle Bundchen or Naomi Campbell or even the girl in your avatar, BUT I know I can be fit and feel just as sexy simply by working on, and improving, what I have...:)

Although Moonbeam is right, I know first hand how hard it is. Society sucks because we all see these "perfect" models/celebrities and think "Damn, she's so lucky. I want her body!" Or, "Look at his chest, I want pecs like that!" It's a viscious circle and the only way out of it is to STOP trying to look JUST LIKE THEM. Unfortunately, I do just the opposite ALL THE TIME.

There is a woman on my soap who is tall (I'm short), but she's a red head and every time I see her, I'm like, "Bi-otch!" lol I sooo want her body! It's frustrating to me because I see people all around me and think I want to be thinner. I HAVE to be thinner. The only way to get there is hard work and a change in the way you are eating. It's not easy, but so worth it in the end - or so I've heard! LOL I'm sooo not there yet. LOL

At any rate. I know that this was kind of off topic and I apologize, but I wanted u to know that you are not alone! ;)

blah blah

hey
thanks for the advice. im not really trying to compare myself with models or anything..in the sense that im not trying to be like them. id never want to be one of those models who walk on stage for fashion thingies, but i wouldnt mind posing in photos (photo model). i actually consider doing that for some time next year bceause im gonna start living alone and although my family is still gonna support me i want to make some money on my own. anyway.. point being, im not like short and chubby and trying to grow and become thin. in fact i hate very tall women, i wish i were like 5cm shorter but oh well. see thats the thing with short women, they always want to be taller and theyre like omg my height sucks..but they can just wear nice sexy high heels or whatever and they will look taller. but theres NOTHING a tall woman can do to look shorter. i used to lift weights cause i thought it would make me shrink or at least stop me from growing but it didnt work. anyway, i never wear heels although i love the way they look, but i just cant put them on coz i dont want to look like a giant. so anyway back to my problem, all i really want is a thinner waist. i want my waist to be like TINY compared to my hips. if i cant make my waist thinner, then i could make my hips wider: that would still give the same effect - the curviness. anyway...im just trying. hope someone helps me.

it seems ur after the hour glass figure, right? u can't change ur hip or shoulder structure but with illusion u can look like u have...if u want ur waist to look smaller than i would try and make shoulders wider workoj gon the side deltoind muscle...for waist do vacuums...all u do is get on all 4's and suck ur belly up towards your spine as hard as you can and hold for 5secs for 5 reps...do this every hr for a couiple of weeks and see what happens...it should strengthen your transverse abdominis which is responsible for holding your belly in...search on gggole if not sure what I mean but they will work, maybe not 4cms but something should happen...they will work better done throughout the day more so all at once...get back to me with wat u think / how u go

Corsets!

hey
ive got another question: does wearing corsets work?? i mean when u wear them ur waist looks thinner, yeah, but AFTER wearing it for a long period of time, when u take it off, does ur waist naturally (without the corset) look thinner? does the corset make it become thinner? cause i may buy one. thanks.

They shift your internal organs and have been known to cause adverse effects to your reproductive organs. Corsets are evil.

Edit: Oh and you look like this:

haha ok im not trying to get nto any book of records, i mean i dont want my waist to become 10 inches or anything..i just want it SLIGHTLY smaller.. how does it effect my reproductiveness? thats funny..haha anyway..thanks.

dude arrrgghhh just an hour or so ago i measured my waist and realised it went from a friggin 63-64 to a 64-65 !!! i was like WHHAAATT...
tomorrow is voluntary starvation day.. yep yep... this is very bad..

PLEASE DO NOT STARV YOURSELF! Ugh! That frustrates me that people resort to unnecessary measures. Honestly? You want to lose 4 cm? Then start eating healthy (I mean all natural...produce; fruits, veggies, meats, and carbs) and exercising regularly. Incorporate cardio and strength training into your day. Go for a jog when you're angry. Hit the gym when you're upset. Remember: your body is your temple.

Keep in mind that your waist size is going to change throughout the day. Food and beverages have to go somewhere. :D

Being this obsessive about a number doesn't seem very healthy to me . . . I hope you're taking care of yourself.
