Hi everyone,
I was just googling around and found this site and thought it would be appropriate to join. To start, in a 20 year old college student from Long Island. I'm an ex-film student and due to financial difficulties, I had to transfer over to my local community college, though I haven't yet begin my studies there. I'm starting in the fall and I've been wrestling with the idea of majoring in film again or going my safe route and majoring in health & nutrition.
When I was 16, I weighed about 260 pounds. At only 5'7", I was quite the fat kid. One of the fattest in my high school and decided it was time to take control of my life and my weight problem. Over the course of only a few months (I worked out, shunned fast food and "went Nazi", as my friends like to say) I lost about 100 pounds and am now currently weighing in at about 160 pounds on a 5'10" frame.
I now run everyday, am a vegetarian and really take pride in my lifestyle. I just wanted to join the site to meet some like-minded people and maybe try to bestow some of my thoughts and knowledge on the subject of personal health with anyone who thinks my two cents are worth anything. I'd also like to post some before and after pictures just to show you all what my journey has done, I know pictures make the legitimacy of a weight loss story all the more believable. But yeah, thanks for reading and thank you for your time. I hope to start some nice friendships on here.
