Hey I'm new =]

Hi everybody! :waving:

Well my name is Sinéad and I'm 18. I'm looking to lose some weight, I'm 5'10 and I weigh 154lbs, probably a bit more even. I've weighed this much for the last few years, I'm not happy with my weight, I'd like to lose 14lbs or so. The extra weight is on my belly and arms.

So thing is I don't really know how to go about this. I know I need to excercise, I do pretty much none. So what kind of excercise would be good for a very unfit person? Also my diet is very poor, I'm a picky eater and I eat a lot of carbs, crisps and sweets.

Any advice or tips would be much appreciated!!

5'10 and 154lbs sounds kinda healthy range to me...(cant tell without looking at you).

Get off the refined sugars, only eat whole foods and watch the carb intake.

For exercise, start by walking to work/school and never take a lift etc...

Walking is a start to jogging. You have to walk more and build up fitness slowly so your body can adjust to anything too strenuous.

I used the coolrunning "couch to 5km" running program and after 2mths I am running about 20kms a week from not being able to run 3 minutes straight.
