Hey Guys!!
I've been trying to lose weight for AGES now and it's just not going anywhere!! People always say to me "you don't need to lose weight" but I'm sure if it were the other way around they'd understand.
I'm just under 5'2" and currently weigh 11stone, which is 154lbs. I have been told, for my height and age, that I should weigh somewhere around 126lbs. I used to be around that mark about two years ago before I moved out. My boyfriend and I found a flat to rent whilst he was at Uni (had been living with my parents) and I guess you guys know what Uni life is like!!
We had hardly enough money to survive on and literally lived off of supermarket branded food and those classic bargains on all the junk food - which lets face it is full of complete rubbish! We would have pasta about 3 nights a week and then a mix of the buy one get one free pizzas we had accumilated over the last few weeks, lol!! The pounds suddenly started to build up and when our flat was sold to housing association we didn't really have any other choice to move back in with my parents (which is always fun....NOT)
So now I'm back home, have money and fingers crossed, motivation to start shedding this weight I've gained. I must be honest though, since I've moved back my eating habits have changed drastically and I have started exercising again, so I don't know why the weight isn't budging. My typical days food is as follows:
Breakfast: Oatibix (basically porridge) or Kellogs Kashi Cereal with a small glass of orange juice (don't drink tea or coffee)
Lunch: 3 ryevitas (the sesame seed ones) with low-fat cheese spread or 5 wholegrain crackerbreads with low-fat cheesespread and a piece of fruit or a yoghurt.
Dinner: Grilled chicken breast with new potatoes and veg.
I try to only drink water, or water with no-added sugar squash in it, rarely eat chocolate as i'm not really a chocolately person anyway and exercise for atleast 30mins a day if not more!
If anyone can help shed some light on my rather strong plateau that'd be great! Well I'll post about it in a different topic of discussion!
But yeah, that's me! Been reading through and you all seem very supportive and that's just what I need!
