Hey, i need advice.

Hey,
ill start off telling you some info about myself. Im 16 years old and need to lose weight and build muscle.(high school hockey season is coming up) :D im 5'8 and 146 pounds. Im trying to get a lower body fat percentage and i have been watching what i eat lately.
I usually eat small meals for breakfast and lunch.. they both add up to about 500 calories usually, then i work out for two hours around 3:00pm. then i eat one big meal at dinner. (oh, and i drink nothing but water)
When i go to work out, i usually spend about 40-50 minutes running/walking. Then i just circle around the gym and do all of the machines. I need advice. is there anything im doing wrong?

thanks

Welcome.

Anything wrong? Sure is. 1. Not eating enough. You need to put high protein snacks in between your traditional three meals. 2. Doing cardio and then the round robin of machines isnt really that great. Look at the motions of those machines, then apply them to free weights. Free weights offer a better range of motion and incorporate many more stabilizers when lifting. Look here for great info and instructions www.exrx.net
