Hi,


My name is Ibrahim. I'm an on/off student with mixed dreams :D and I've felt held down these past few years so I thought I'll get the weight off for good as it will probably be my biggest achievement ever.


I've just found this forum a couple of days ago and from what I've seen it looks good.


I just took the first few steps like signing up here and buying some scales.... And found my taget weight is 154 lbs so that means I need to lose 168 lbs... It's a big job but someone has to do it.


Let's hope I can help others with the journey I'm planning.

Hey Ibrahim, what's your plan to get started with your weight loss? Have you considered starting an exercise/food diary in the Weight Loss Diary section?
 
My first thought was a calorie deficit and I would then introduce exercise.


I was actually starting a blog myself and happened to find the diary here so I might do both. All in time as I'm in no rush this time around :)

Hey wingman, that's good that you've started a blog... Tracking your exercise/diet is a great idea as you can look back and see what worked and what didn't. How are you going to know if you're in a calorie deficit? Are you using any calculations?
 
Well I'm a chronic procrastinator so the blog is coming tomorrow :D


I wanted to make it a diary I guess but I wasn't going to make it so detailed... More like a motivational for others like me either on the journey or wanting to take part in it.


And I calculated my required intake online... It says I need just under 3000 calories to maintain my weight... So right now I'm looking at a 1500-2000 calorie "diets" that can work with me... I think I should actually be fine as I don't et much these days but end up using energy drinks and chocolate to make up for it.


Does anyone know any good vitamins to take alongside? I was going to take Ginkgo biloba or fish oil for my brain health and I've heard of stuff that increase your metabolism but I wasn't too sure.
