Hi all,
I'm new to this board - but not new to weight struggles. I'm nineteen years old (twenty in March - eek!) and I'm really determined to lose weight. I was diagnosed with PCOS which usually goes hand-in-hand with insulin problems. Fortunately, I don't have insulin problems -- yet. But in order to keep it that way I really need to lose some weight and get into shape! I've always been on the heavier side since childhood and I really for once want to be proud of how I look. It'd be nice to wear shorts without being self-conscious! Anyways I'm looking forward to lurking around and hopefully utilize this community in my journey to a thinner, healthier me!

Heya Disco!

Welcome to the forums! You'll find lots of peeps with PCOS issues here, so you're in good company. I share your short phobia as well...I can't *wait* until I'm looking good enough to where I can wear a part of nice girly shorts and not constantly be tugging them down. I was so self-conscious of my body when I was younger that I wore boy's skater shorts. :D

Good luck and feel free to ask questions or just for a little support!
