I would like to stop in and say hello. I will tell you guys a little background about me.

I am 18 years old, 6'2", and I currently weigh 190. I have struggled with weight all through my teen years and I recently just finished from a boarding school. I went into the boarding school weighing around 215, 5'9" tall. 15 months later, I weighed in around 165 and grew 5 inches . I was in great shape. I was participating in lots of basketball and long distance running. I completed a half marathon, which I never thought was possible because I could barely run a mile before I went to the school. I have been back for not too long now and I have put on 25 pounds through poor eating choices. I am still very active in basketball and I am trying to get back into running. I thought this would be a great step for me to reach that great physical shape I was in because I see all of the support you give eachother. My goal is to get down to 165, and start to tone my body because I have little muscle definition. Thanks in advance!

Hi Steve, and welcome.

Yep, this is a great place to help you achieve your goals. Take a look around the forum, and I'm sure you'll find loads of useful information. If you need any specific advice on your diet, I'd recommend posting in the Harsh Truth forum (remember to follow the guidelines for posting in there, which are stickied at the top of that forum). And if you want to track your calories to see exactly how much you're eating, a lot of people here use , which is a free site to help you keep track of what you're doing food and exercise wise.
