hi to everyone on the forum!

im so glad i found this place, ive browsed around it and everyone seems really nice, friendly and helpful.

well a bit about me. im nearly 21 years old and i weighed in this morning at 220 pounds which because of my 5 foot 2 height classes me as morbidly obese. My weight used to be under control but me and my partner have slowly began eating out more and gone are my days of eating what i want and not putting weight on.

I consider myself fairly active and healthy despite my weight, i workout 5 days a week at the gym and do some balance ball/toning stuff at home. My biggest flaw is that i too easily give in to cravings and eat without thinking sometimes.

I am trying to draw up a food plan and will do a big shop this week to ensure im not tempted by bad foods.

My ULTIMATE goal weight is about 140 lbs but im going to take things in 10 lb intervals so if i can 210lbs then 200lbs i will be happy. Id love to talk to other men or women who are around my weight with alot to lose and chit-chat about how things are going :)

i will try say hello here and there and post often, that is when i figure out teh forum lol.

Hey there! I'm also trying to lose about the same amount of weight as you. I am 5'0" and weigh 119 right now. It's been about a month since I started my weight loss thing and i've lost close to 20 lbs. altogether. I first cut back on my soda's at first and then I started counting calories. My start weight was 138lbs. I am also sitting small goals. Mine is kinda like 5 pound intervals. Now i'm aimming for 215lbs. Good luck with yours, my hardest thing right now is working out, i hate to do it... Feel free to chat with me... tammy:waving:

im guessing you meant 219 lbs right now lol? hehe. well firstly CONGRATS on your weight loss so far. this past month i have been bouncing between 210lbs and 220lbs but im going to try so hard to keep my weight from doing that anymore.
I drink about 1 or 2 cans of diet soda a day but i have bought some water mix ins so i'll try them i think. i just like having some flavour :p

have u got a diary yet?

Yes, sorry i did mean 219. i could only imagine 119..lol... Yeah, that's what i drink is the sugar free mixes for the water bottles. Plain water just gets to me. My favorite one is lipton green tea with honey. i'm out of that right now though... Today wasn't a very good day. I felt like i was snacking all day. My husband had pizza baked when i came home from work, yesterday he bought wings from wal-mart deli and of course there was left overs... I just wish he would join me on this weight loss journey.... Welcome!

It looks like you are starting out right by developing a plan. Lots of good tips here in the basic concepts and in the nutrition forum sticky threads. I just started a diary myself and recommend it highly. Although I have done many weight loss programs--I had never used a support forum like this or charted my progress for all to see until now, I think it will help to keep me on track.
