Hey Everyone! I'm New!

Hey everyone! So I was looking around at fitness websites today and I somehow ended up here. I can't say how GLAD I am to have stumbled upon this forum. I've been reading through threads all day and I really think this place will help motivate me to reach my weight loss goals.

So I guess this is where I can write a little about why I'm here. :) I'm nineteen and just came home for the summer from a long, first year of college. Before leaving for college I was a little chunky, but the notorious FRESHMAN 15 definitely hit me hard. It hit me so hard that I've even befriended its close friend, FRESHMAN 25. WOW! 25 pounds in just 9 months. I think being away from home, bad eating habits, late study nights, and the endless partying with massive amounts of alcohol really contributed to the weight gain. Mainly the alcohol. Lots of empty calories.

Now that I'm home, I'm determined to lose the weight this summer. I REALLY WANT THIS! I've been working hard the last 2 weeks-ish and have lost 6 pounds thus far. Finding this website will hopefully help me even more with my weight goals!

Heh sounds a bit like my university days .. I was very slim when I got there and by the time I left I was .. well, chunky is the politest way to describe it. Now I'm fat :(. Too much junk and booze, sigh.
