Hello everyone,

My name is Johanna and i am 20 years old. I came across this website as i was searching through some diet websites on google, and i LOVED IT! I looked through a couple of the threads and i noticed that the people on this website are really nice and encouraging. I read a couple of threads of people that have lost a great amount of weight and look GREAT! This motivated me to join this website in search of some motivation and wonderful comments and advice. I am going to start my healthy eating tomorrow because i have recently been eating only 3 small portions a day and i have been loosing weight BUT i dont feel good. I dont have energy and feel hungry all the time. I dont want to continue doing that because i have done some research and learned that this is NOT the best way to approach a good weight loss plan. In 2004, i lost about 50 pounds in a couple of months but gained ALL THE WEIGHT AND MORE after i moved to Virginia in October of 2005. I am currently 260 pounds and my goal weight is 140.

I want to do this not only to look and feel good but MOST IMPORTANTLY to be healthy. In my family there has been a great amount of health problems and most of them are linked to OBESITY. My grandmother died from ovarian cancer, my grandfather has heart problems and had colon cancer, my dad has hypertension, is obesed and is at a high risk of diabetes, my mother has breast cancer and is undergoing treatment, she is aslo obesed, has arthritis, and asthma. As you can see my family has a history of health problems and i dont want to experience any of these health problems in the future, thats why i am going to teach myself to eat healthy, workout and try to be as healthy as i can. I know this will decrease my risk of having the health problems i mentioned above. Well, I'm open to any positive comments. Thanks for reading my post! :)
