Hello all. I’m 18 years old, 5’1”, and weigh 130 lbs with a body fat percentage of 32.5%. My goal is to tone up, lose 5 lbs, and reduce my body fat percentage to at least 20%.
About 4 years ago, I was 5’0” and weighed in at 143 lbs. I wasn’t necessarily fat, but let’s just say I was a chunky monkey. I started to take karate and have been losing weight gradually over time. About 2 years ago though, my grandmother died (her heart gave up before she did), and that really shook me up. Ever since then I’ve been working even harder to lose weight, due to my family history of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.
Now I’m working to lose the last 5 lbs and drastically cut down my body fat percentage. But I’m having a difficult time of being and staying motivated, and I don’t feel like anyone is really supporting me through this and taking me seriously. I just recently went through a short bout of depression and am finding it difficult to lose weight now that I’m in college….
Is there anyone out there that can help me???
