Hey can somebody give tell me if this will help me lose weight?

I just want to know, if i use a 1200 calories diet and run in the morning around 5AM to 6AM (1 hour total) would i lose weight every week, you know I'm new to this i really love this site, i just got motivated by looking at the before and after pics, my case is not that bad but if i don't do something now i may get obese, i weight 180 and I'm 17 years old, my BMI is above the normal.

If you have any tips or something that you can help me with, please let me know. Plus I'm a senior in high school and I'm graduating soon, i want to look the best i can in the prom.

Do you think this could work out for me?
 
i think you need to look around here a bit more. 1200 calories is not enough for an active 17 year old of your size. its not really enough for much of anyone. sooo...take a look at the nutrition information and try figuring out your bmr and add what you need for your activity level.

Here is a link someone gave me when I started. You have to scroll down a little to get to the calorie calculator part. It will tell you about how many cals you need a day according to your weight and activity level. Being a teen you may want to check with your doctor, too.

up to you entirely, i lived on 1200-1500 for about a year and lost a ton of weight. Hard to stick too. Now im on a more normal range and still loosing, just not as fast, and its a LOT easier to stick too :)
I would advise eating 1500-2000 at least and doing the hour exercise as well.
 
Thanks for the reply, Based on calories count and calculator i think that i may go for 1800 calories per day or even 1360
