Hi to everyone who looks over these threads in this section (and to those who don't but will be seeing real soon :seeya:)

I've been around other weight forums but none have rendered well with me except for one. It's just that everyone is so busy from that particular place, that times can get a little lonely when they are gone. Nevertheless, the people there are fantastic, and have been back and forth since 2008! I came to this forum from a link posted by one of my fellow forum members on the other one. I thought it will be good to stick my feet thick into the threads here and receive a big push from everyone on losing my last 20 lbs by July! I've been on this battle of the bulge since I was 13, so it has took me 10 yrs to finally reach my final, and hopefully indefinite goal.

The highest weight I've been was around 213 to 220 lbs at 15, and I'm now down to 167 lbs. I've been bouncing up and down, literally, like a blob of fat while running around among the glorious trees and on the rich tapestry of mud and grass. I've been very keen on running for the past 2 yrs so in all I just need to be shouted at to get up and going before the end of this July. Do you think it's possible? I hope so!:willy_nilly:

Hey, welcome to the forum.

You seem set to lose your last bit of weight and congratulations on losing what you already lost. You might be hitting a plateau sometime on your way so if that ever happens there are some good articles around here about dealing with that. Good luck losing the rest.

Welcome!
I believe in you, i know you will reach your goals! Congrats in your loss so far! keep it up!
I find music is very motivational. It helps me when i need that extra push :)

Thanks for the welcome!

Hey Prodigy, thanks for the heads up! I've heard that losing begins to slow down for the last 15 or so lbs. It's probably going to be the biggest battle yet, getting so close yet still remaining far from the silk ribbon at the end.

Hi cjer, music really does help. I've found the faster the beat, the more energy I have to run longer. Thanks for believing in me, I will remain strong and determined to get to goal, and hopefully help others through my experiences as well!

Maybe you need a drill sergeant to force you into action. There's nothing like the threat of a cattle prod to make you move your arse a bit more :p

I hope you have much success on your journey. I'm sure you'll be fine once you've properly started and gained some momentum. Sometimes you just need a bit of a push.

Exactly, and that final push is the toughest yet. I've come by quite a handful of people whom I thought were on the verge of freedom, only to go back 10 lbs again. It is slightly worrying for me as I always classify myself as one of those unlucky ones. Maybe expecting the worst may bring out the best of me (as strange as that sounds!)
