Hi! I tried a low carb diet and had the same side effects initially. It does take time to adjust. But, personally I think a regular balanced diet is the best way to do it. No magic diet, just burning more than you take in.

Although inconvenient, eating 5 or 6 smaller meals spread out through the day like say once every 3 hours will keep your metabolism up and help you not feel so hungry all the time. A good balance of meat, carbs, and veggies.

Exercise is important as well. When I was on low carb I felt so weak and fatigued that exercise was something hard to do. I feel more energized now though. 30 minutes of cardio a day and a little weight training can do wonders.

Anyways, welcome to the forum and good luck.

Hi, I only eat 3 meals a day with the occasional fruit snack. I don't think that it's necessary to eat 5 times.
You mentioned cutting out carbs and sugars but you need carbs and should be eating a fair amount to keep you feeling full. You should cut your refined sugar and fats right down.
As you say exercise keeps you feeling so much better phsically and mentally.
Good luck
