Hey everyone!
My name is Josh. I'm 18 years old, soon to be 19. Throughout my life I haven't really been "overly overweight" until just recently with my freshman year of college behind me. In high school I was a very active person playing basketball all the time with my friends. I played football and did track and was a decently athletic person. Then when college hit, I immediately gained weight because I didn't have much decent food to eat and was always busy.. I didn't have time to play basketball or work out. My only form of exercise was marching band during the fall semester and that wasn't much of an exercise compared to what I've done in the past in high school. I went from 175 pounds at the end of high school to 195 pounds in my very first semester of college.
Now, going into my sophomore year I've been trying to stay healthy and I've been planning on running on the treadmill on a consistent basis. I've actually ran on a treadmill for the past 3 and a half weeks and I've lost a couple pounds through running and calorie counting.. starting off at 189 when I started running to 183 (my weight today). I hope to find more effective ways of losing weight through these forums and showing everyone my progress. I plan on getting down to maybe 165 or 160 pounds.. and possibly getting my first six pack in my entire life!
Anyways.. that's about it for me!
Oh by the way.. I'm about 5' 6 1/2'' and currently weigh 183 pounds.
