Heres My Idea

Iam extremly out of shape likes ive posted before and getting fatter by the day. My idea is to lose the weight and then work the body. So my question is this is it a good idea to knock out any weight training until I lose the desired amount of fat?

no, weight training is a essential part of a fat loss program. The more muscle you build, the more calories you will burn throughout the day.

..and those are facts. a plan consisting of weight training and cardio is the ideal fat loss program. imo - alternate between regular constant paced cardio, and hiit.

no, cardio should be done 5-6 days max (assuming you're getting enough protein) and if you want some advice for cardio check out the hiit forum. as for a weight training plan, allen posted this once and i keep posting it again and again because its a great core workout..

Bench Press
Squats
Deadlifts
Military or push presses
Back extensions
Ab work
Chin ups/Rows

Don't forget to give yourself a day (at least) of rest before you work the same muscle group again. Muscle grows during rest, not during the workout!

So if you want to lift every day, switch muscle groups each time!

Every post here has my vote behind it. Those core power movements are great calorie burners, they're great to develop strength both functional and true and they're great to get you ready for more advanced activity.

As for cardio every day; I'm a firm believer that the human body was designed to be active. Even on your off day it couldn't hurt to go for a walk or do some light activity just to get your blood flowing; but definitely find at least one day a week to do no weight training and no high intensity cardio.
