Here we go!

Hi there!

So I am a new member to the site, and am looking for some way to hold myself accountable for my eating and exercising. This seems like a nice place where I can do all that, and get support from people who have similar goals as myself.

I am 21 years old, and a student at CMU. I am 5'3 and started my dieting yesterday, weighing in at 199.2 lbs. My weight lose goal is 8lbs a month until I reach 140 lbs. This is ambitious, but I am ready for a change.

To start things off, I have cut all fast foods, salt, and pop out of my diet. I have also decided that counting calories is going to be my friend, and to only eat chicken or fish as my meat.

I also went and got a membership to the gym yesterday. I rode the stationary bike for 30 minutes, and the elliptical for 30 more minutes. I did the same today.

I would love suggestions and tips for exercising or low cal snacks!

Im not a huge fan of cardio although i know i have to do it but i love to do weights and boxing. When i do weights i keep the reps high but still use a weight that pushes me hard. Do you have any classes at the gym?? I love to do combat, I tried attack for the first time today and im feeling it now lol
