Well hello everybody.
I'm 19. My summer exercise plan went to hell, so I decided hey... why not now? Everyone I know says its stupid to exercise in the winter, but it's not like it will do any harm, right?
I'm doing this more for HEALTH reasons than glam. At 19, I am 4'9'' (I will not get any taller), and I weigh 180-185lbs (it bounces, but stays around there).
Ghastly, I know.
I have an ample amount of time to exercise, but would it seem silly if I said I didn't know which exercises were best for someone like me? I have a treadmil and an exercise bike, so I use those.
Sadly, with how out of shape I have gotten I cannot do 30 straight minutes of exercise. I can do 10, maybe. But from past experiences, I know that if I keep at it I can do 30 no problem. It just takes time.
Okay, so, I just said I walked and I do the exercise bike. Those are two no brainers and pretty easily accessable to me. I don't think joining a gym will do anything different, because basically, we have a gym in our garage, my father is ex military and is still in very good shape.
Should I be doing sit ups, push ups, too? I can easily turn the TV on and do tae bo and such.
When it comes to weightloss, I'm kind of.. not smart lol.
Oh, I'm also a really big snacker. Can I still snack on things like air popped pop corn and grapes and veg? I don't drink soda or coffee or energy drinks, although I will drink tea occasionally.. but otherwise, I've been soda free for 7 months now.
Anyway, um, any tips, suggestions, encouragement would be awesome.
iggy: haha that thing is adorable.
