Here it goes...

Eh?

I used to be a really fit person. I USED to be. Yesterday I stepped on the scale, and while I knew I had gained weight, was still shocked at the result- 247 pounds. Considering that I am 6’ tall, I realise this isn’t the end of the world, but it is still depressing as I have quite a bit of weight to lose as I want to get down to 200 pounds by March/April. I used to be pretty athletic and still carry a lot of muscle, but considering I was a really fit 200lbs three years ago, I feel like a shell of my former self. Weight gain such as this doesn’t really help your self confidence either. The vices that have put me in this position are chocolate and pizza (I am such a sucker for milk chocolate with almonds :)). Thankfully, the only liquid I have a craving for is water and very rarely drink anything else (in fact, I drink a TONNE of water). Also, as I have learnt from past failures, weight literally falls off me when I work hard, the task of course is continuity as I usually sputter out after two weeks. Like most people here, we have been driven here by many previous dieting failures, but here’s hoping we can all change that. Wish me luck eh!
