Here goes

Ok I've been snooping around the forums for about a week now and figured it was time to join! Really looks like a place where ppl know what they are talking about!

I am going to do alittle experiment and will even post pictures if you guys want to see your advice in action. Ill probably post the before picture tomorrow or friday and then each week I will post another.

I am now an old fart at 23 years old, I am currently weighing in at about 195 and I'm only 5'9. The only trouble area I have is my stomach/Love handles. Some of you will probably say I look fine but back in the day when i was in highschool I was a football and track junky. So i had the washboard abs and was really cut. I dont expect to get back to that as I've let myself go for too long but I am really goign to try and lose 20-25 lbs to put me back to what I was then.

As for my diet now well its the average american diet I would say. I cook me and the wife dinner most of the time but about 2 or 3 times a week we will eat fast food. The hardest thing for me is limiting my portions, food just tastes way too good:)...

I still have some questions about what my diet will be like after Oct 1(thats when im starting). Doing the BMR thing in the sticky my figure is 2620.5 and I consider myself active sense we walk the dogs alot, and I play flag football on saturdays, and have a gym membership so I will be hopefully going there and doing 3 full body workouts a week. So after I take off some for wanting to lose weight that will put me at about 2150.0 calories per day to eat correct? Will cardio be a big deal if I dont do alot of that? Or would that help me more than the gym? I figured the gym would help more because of any fat i turn to muscle will help burn calories.

also as per the sticky diong the 1.5/lb rule I should be taking in 292.5g of protein a day correct? I couldn't find anything about how much carbs or fats I should take in dailey could anyone point that out to me? I'm sure I will have more questions but as this is already turning into a book I have to cut it off here:) nobody will probably read it all anyways:yelrotflmao:

Oh one more thing Since I have class Weds night, could you still workout Monday,Tuesday,Thursday even though you woudlnt get much rest between monday/Tuesday?
